If I watch or read about one more financial company CEO crying that they have to pay their hotshot employees millions of dollars to keep them from jumping ship I'm going to throw up violently. When are they going to realize it's the hotshots that got them into the situation they're in currently? AIG is only the latest to do this with their publicly debated bonuses over the past weekend. It's one thing to pay people who consistently make money for your company, but I don't understand the logic of paying people who helped run your company into the ground and requiring hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars from myself and other taxpaying Americans.
Just the other day a local college sports coach was fired for having the worst record in recent school history. What did they do, well of course they paid him several million dollars. Will some body start writing employment contracts that give you money when you have a winning season, go to some form of championship, graduate the entire sports team or maybe not have any legal incidents with your players for the whole year?
Just a thought....I'm off to find a job where I can totally screw up and still expect millions to keep me from going somewhere else.
